 కళాకారులు, సృజనాత్మకత

నిజంగా సృజనాత్మకత అనేదే లేదు.

మనిషి చేసే ప్రతి పని ఇప్పటికి ఉన్న దానికి అనుకరణే.  

దేన్నీ మోడల్‌గా అనుకరించకుండా స్వయంగా ఏదైతే ఉదయిస్తుందో దాన్నే సృజనాత్మకత అని పిలవవచ్చు. అది పునరావృతమవ్వదు. దాన్ని మీ భవిష్యత్ చర్యలకు మళ్లీ నమూనాగా ఉపయోగించలేరు. అక్కడితో అది ముగుస్తుంది. మీరు మనుషుల ముఖాలను లేదా ఆకులను చూస్తే—ఏ రెండు ముఖాలు ఒకేలా ఉండవు, రెండు ఆకులు ఒకేలా ఉండవు. ప్రకృతి మనముందు చూపే విభిన్నతే నిజమైన కావ్యం.

అందువల్ల ఆర్టిస్ట్ అంటూ ఎవరూ ఉండరు. 

అతడు ఒక సాంకేతిక నిపుణుడు మాత్రమే.

చిత్రకళను నేర్చుకున్న కార్మికుడు.

కర్రకు ఆకారమిచ్చే వడ్రంగి,

ఇటుకలతో గడులు కట్టే మేస్త్రీవలె.

అతను కేవలం టేక్నీషియన్. అతడు లేదా ఆమె చిత్రకళ చిట్కాలు తేలుసుకుంటారు. కార్పెంటర్లు, , కుమ్మరి, కమ్మరి, తాపీపనులు చేసేవారిలా వీరు శిల్పులు, నిపుణులు. క్రాఫ్ట్ కంటే ఉన్నతస్థానాన్ని కళకు ఎందుకు కల్పిస్తారు. కళాకారుడి సృష్టికి మార్కెట్ లేకపొతే అతను ఆ వ్యాపారంలో ఉండదు. ఈ సో కాల్డ్ అర్తిస్టుల నమ్మకాలకు మార్కెట్టే ప్రధాన కారణం. ఇతర క్రాఫ్ట్ మెన్ లా కళాకారుడు కూడా ఒక క్రాఫ్ట్ మాన్. తన వ్యక్తీకరణకు ఆ పనిముట్టునే ఉపయోగిస్తాడు . మొత్తం మానవ సృజనంతా అనుభూతి (Sensuality, సునిసితత్వం) నుంచే సృష్టి అవుతుంది. నేను అనుభూతికి వ్యతిరేకం కాదు. ప్రతి కళారూపం ఆనందపు అలలపై నర్తించే నిశ్చల గానం, ఆనందమే దాని గమ్యం (All art is a pleasure movement). అది (సంతోషం) కూడా నీచే సృష్టి ఆవుతుంది. ఆ ఆనందాన్ని కూడా మీరు సంతరించుకోవాలి. స్వయంగా అభివృద్ధి చేసుకోవాలి. లేకపొతే కళాకారులు చెప్పే సౌందర్యం, కళలు గురించి అర్థం చేసుకోలేరు. కళలపై మాట్లాడడానికి, ప్రశంసించడానికి మార్గం ఉండదు. వాళ్ల సృష్టిని నీవు ప్రశ్నిస్తే వాళ్లు ఫీలవుతారు. నీకు టేస్టు తెలియదనుకుంటారు. వారి కళను ఎలా ప్రశంసించాలో తెలుసుకోవడానికి స్కులుకెళ్లి నేర్చుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని కోరుకుంటారు. లేకపోతే కళాకారులు చెబుతున్న అందం, కళను మీరు అర్థం చేసుకోలేరు. సోకాల్డ్ గ్రేట్ పొయిట్ రాసిన పోయంను నీవు ఎంజాయ్ చేయ లేక పోతే ఆ కవితను ప్రశంసించేట్లు నిన్ను బలవంతంగా ఎడ్యుకేట్ చేస్తారు. విద్యా సంస్థల్లో ఇదంతా వాళ్ళు చేస్తుంటారు. అందాన్ని, చిత్రకళను, సంగీతాన్ని, ఎలా ఆస్వాదించాలో, ఎలా అభిమానించాలో మనకు బోధిస్తుంటారు. అదే సమయంలో వారు మీ మీద బ్రతుకుతుంటారు. కళాకారులు సృజనాత్మక రాజకీయాలు, సృజనాత్మక భావాలు, సృజనాత్మక కళ.. ఇలా ప్రతిదాన్ని తాము క్రియేటివ్ గా ఆలోచిస్తామనుకుంటూ అన్వేషణలో ఓదార్పు పొందుతుంటారు. ఇదంతా అర్థరహితం. నిజానికి వారిలో ఏ మాత్రం సృజనాత్మకత ఉండదు. వారు ఏమి చేసినా అందులో ఒరిజినాలిటి, తాజాదనం, స్వేచ్ఛా ఉండదు. ఆర్టిస్టులు అక్కడో, ఇక్కడో తీసుకుని దాన్ని కలబోసి ఏదో కొత్త అద్బుతాన్ని సృష్టిస్తున్నట్లు భావిస్తుంటారు. ఆల్ రెడీ అక్కడ ఉన్నదాన్నే వాళ్ళందరూ అనుసరిస్తుంటారు. అనుకరణ, శైలే మనకున్న సృజనాత్మకత. వారు దాన్ని ఒప్పుకోవడానికి సిగ్గుపడతారు. మనం వెళ్ళిన స్కూలు, మనం నేర్చుకున్న భాష ,మనం చదివిన పుస్తకాలు, ఎదుర్కొన్న పరీక్షలు ...ఈ నేపధ్యం నుంచి మనకొక శైలి ఏర్పడుతుంది. అలా శైలి, టెక్నిక్ అక్కడ నడుస్తుంటుంది.

ఒక రోజు కంప్యూటర్లు ఇప్పటివరకు ఈ ప్రపంచంలో చిత్రకారులు, సంగీతకారుల సృష్టించిన దానికంటే చాలా బాగా చిత్రాలు గీస్తాయి, సంగీతాన్ని సృష్టిస్తాయని తెలిస్తే మీరు ఆశ్చర్యపోతారు. ఇది మన జీవితకాలంలో జరగకపోవచ్చు. కానీ జరుగుతుంది. మీరు కంప్యూటర్ కంటే భిన్నంగా లేరు. దీనిని అంగీకరించడానికి మనం సిద్ధంగా లేం. ఎందుకంటే మనం కేవలం యంత్రాలు కాదని, మనలో ఏదో గొప్పతనం ఉందని బోధించారు. నమ్మించారు. ఈ వాస్తవాన్ని మనం అంగీకరించాలి. విద్య, సాంకేతికతల ద్వారా మనం అభివృద్ధి చేసుకున్న మన మేధస్సు ప్రకృతికి సాటిరాదు. అవి (సృజనాత్మక కార్యకలాపాలు) ఆధ్యాత్మిక, కళాత్మక, బౌద్ధిక విలువల వ్యక్తీకరణలుగా గుర్తించినందున ప్రాముఖ్యతను సంతరించుకున్నాయి. స్వీయ-ప్రకటన అనే తపన, ఉత్సాహం మానసిక రుగ్మత నుంచి జన్మిస్తుంది. ఇది ఆధ్యాత్మిక గురువులకు కూడా వర్తిస్తుంది. నేరుగా ఇంద్రియ అనుభవం (ప్రత్యక్ష అనుభూతి) అనేది ఏదీ లేదు. అన్ని కళా రూపాలు అనుభూతుల వ్యక్తీకరణే. భావ ప్రకటనే.

 

Artists, creativity

There is no such thing as creativity at all. All that people do is imitate something or the other that already exists. Only when you do not use anything as a model, what emerges can be called creativity and that cannot be used again as a model for future acts of yours. And there it ends. If you look at human faces or even those leaves--no two faces are the same, no two leaves are the same.

So, there is no such thing as an artist at all. He is just a technician. He or she has learned the technique of painting. They are just technicians, artisans, like the carpenters, masons, etc.

Why do you want to place art on a higher level than craft? If there is no market for an artist's creation, he will be out of business. It is the market that is responsible for all these so-called artistic beliefs. An artist is a craftsman like any other craftsman. He uses that tool to express himself. All human creation is born out of sensuality. I have nothing against sensuality. All art is a pleasure movement. Even that (the pleasure) has to be cultivated by you. Otherwise you have no way of appreciating the beauty and art that artists are talking about. If you question their creation, they feel superior, thinking that you don't have taste. Then they want you to go to a school to learn how to appreciate their art. If you don't enjoy a poem written by a so-called great poet, they forcibly educate you to appreciated poetry. That is all that they are doing in the educational institutions. They teach us how to appreciate beauty, how to appreciate music, how to appreciate painting and so on. Meanwhile they make a living off you. Artists find it comforting to think that they are creative: 'creative art', 'creative ideas', 'creative politics'. It's nonsense. There is nothing really creative in them in the sense of their doing anything original, new or free. Artists pick something here and something there, put it together and think they have created something marvelous. They are all imitating something that is already there. Imitation and style are the only 'creativity' we have. Each of us has our own style according to the school we attended, the language we were taught, the books we have read, the examinations we have taken. And within that framework again we have our own style. Perfecting style and technique is all that operates there. 

You will be surprised that one of these days computers will paint and create music much better than all the painters and musicians that the world has produced so far. It may not happen in our lifetime but it will happen. You are no different from a computer. We are not ready to accept that because we are made to believe that we are not just machines--that there is something more to us. You have to come to terms with this and accept that we are machines. The human intellect that we have developed through education, through all kinds of techniques is no match for nature. They (creative activities) assume importance because they have been recognized as expressions of spiritual, artistic and intellectual values. The drive for self-expression is born out of neurosis. This applies to the spiritual teachers of mankind too. There is no such thing as a direct sense-experience. All forms of art are nothing but an expression of sensuality.
