మతం

     యు.జి.కృష్ణమూర్తి

      మొత్తం మత ఆలోచన క్రమశిక్షణ పునాదిపై నిర్మితమైంది. నాకు క్రమశిక్షణ అంటే ఒక విధంగా తనను తాను హింసించు కోవడం. మనమందరం మనల్ని మనం హిసించుకునేవాళ్ళం. (Masochists).ఆధ్యాత్మిక లక్ష్యాలను సాధించడానికి బాధను ఒక సాధనం అనుకుంటున్నాం. అందువల్ల మనల్ని మనం హింసించుకుంటాం.

     వాస్తవానికి, మొత్తం మత ఆలోచన బాధ పునాదిపై నిర్మితమైంది. మనపై ఆ విధమైన క్రమశిక్షణను విధించే వారు శాడిస్టులు. ఏదో సాధించాలనే ఆశతో మనల్ని మనం హింసించుకుంటున్నాం. ఆలోచనలు, నమ్మకాలకు మనం బానిసలం. వాటిని తోసేయడా నికి సిద్ధంగా లేం. వాటిని తోసేయడంలో విజయం సాధిస్తే, వాటిని మరోనమ్మకం, క్రమశిక్షణతో భర్తీ చేస్తాం.

            చంపడం, చావడం అనేదే మానవ సంస్కృతికి పునాధి అని నేను చెప్తున్నాను. చరిత్రను మొదటి నుంచి చూడడానికి ఆసక్తి ఉన్నట్లయితే, ఎవరు మనతో లేరు, ఎవరు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉన్నారనే భావనపైనే మానవత్వం పునాది మొత్తం నిర్మితమైందనేది తెలుస్తుంది. అదే మనిషి ఆలోచనలో పనిచేస్తోంది. అందువల్ల పశ్చిమంలో చర్చి, తూర్పున, ఇక్కడా ఇతర మతపరమైన ఆలోచనల ద్వారా ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహిస్తున్న దేవుని పేరిట చంపడం, చావడం అనేదే నాటి క్రమం. అందుకే ఇక్కడ ఛాందసవాదం ఉంది.

              తూర్పు, పడమర మధ్య ఉన్న ఏకైక వ్యత్యాసం మన మతాలు. మనలాంటి విచిత్రమైన పాత్రలను క్రైస్తవ మతం ఉత్పత్తి చేయలేదు. ఇక్కడ మతం అనేది వ్యక్తిగత వ్యవహారం. ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ తన సొంత దుకాణాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసుకున్నారు. తన ప్రత్యేక వస్తువులను విక్రయిస్తున్నారు. అందుకే ఇక్కడ మనకు భిన్నత్వం ఉంది. ఇది పాశ్చాత్య దేశాలలో లేదు. మన చెప్పే కునే వారసత్వంలో ఈ వెరైటీ నే అత్యంత ఆకర్షణీయమైన భాగం. హిందూ మతం ఒక మతం కాదు. ఇది గందరగోళంగా ఉన్న అనేక విషయాల కలయిక. "హిందూ" పదం అనేది వాడుకలో లేక పోయినా సంస్కృతేతర పదం నుంచి వచ్చింది. మీకు దీని గురించి ఏమీ తెలియదు. దేశంపై దండయాత్ర చేసి బ్రాహ్మణ సామాజిక నిర్మాణాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఆర్యన్లు స్థానిక భారతీ యులను ముదురు రంగులో ఉన్నట్లు గుర్తించారు. వారి మతా న్ని నల్లజాతి మతం అని పిలిచా రు . స్కాలర్లు, పండితులు నా వివరణను ఇష్టపడకపోవచ్చు, కానీ ఇది సరైనది. చారిత్రాత్మకమైనది.

     విశ్వం కేంద్రంగా మనిషి ఉన్నాడనే మతపరమైన ఆలోచన దాని పుట్టుకలో ఉంది. ఉదాహరణకు, యూదులు, క్రైస్తవులు ప్రతిదీ మనిషి ప్రయోజనం కోసం సృష్టి అయిందని విశ్వసిస్తారు. అందుకే మనిషి ప్రకృతిలో భాగం కాలేడు. అతను విశ్వంలో, మొత్తం సృష్టిలో కేంద్రంగా ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటు న్నందున అతను మొత్తాన్ని కలుషితం చేశాడు, నాశనం చేశాడు.

         మంచితనం, హుందాతనం , అమాయ కత్వం...ఇలా అన్ని సుగుణాలు కలిగి ఉండాలను కుంటున్నావు. భిన్నంగా ఉండాలనుకుటున్నావు, కానీ ఎప్పడు? భవిష్యత్తులో. ఉపాధ్యాయులందరూ ఇదే వాగ్దానం చేస్తారు, కేవలం తదుపరి జీవితం లేదా మరణానం తర జీవితం అంటూ వాగ్దానం చేస్తారు. అప్పటివరకు అతను వ్యాపారంలో ఉంటాడు, అతనికి భరోసా ఉంది. అతను ఏమీ లేదని చెబితే మీరు అతన్ని వదిలివేయం డి. అందుకే నేను ఇబ్బంది పడాల్సి న అవసరం లేదు. మీరు ఏ సందర్భంలోనైనా వెళ్లిపోతారు. ఎందుకంటే మిమ్మల్ని ఇక్కడికి తీసుకువచ్చేది ఖచ్చితంగా మిమ్మల్ని వేరే చోటికి తీసుకెళుతుం ది. ఒక రకమైన తప్పుడు ఆశలు లేదా వాగ్డాల నుంచి ఏదో పొందాల నే ఆసక్తితో ఉన్నావు. ఇక్కడ పొందడానికి ఏమీ లేదు. 

        ప్రాథమికంగా ప్రేరణ అదే: మీరు ఒక కొత్త టీచర్, ఒక కొత్త బైబిల్, కొత్త ఆర్డర్, కొత్త చర్చి కోసం చూస్తున్నారు --- మీరు చేయగలిగేది అదే. ప్రాథమికంగా ఇప్పటికీ అదే ఉంది: మీరు కాథలిక్ చర్చి నుంచి ఒక అడుగు ముందు కు వేయలేదు. మతతత్వం మాత్ర మే మీకు ఆసక్తి అయితే క్రైస్తవ మతం తప్ప మరెక్కడా చూడవల సిన అవసరం లేదు. గొప్ప ఉపా ధ్యాయుల లోతైన ప్రకటనలు వివిధ మతాలలో విభిన్నంగా లేవు. మీరు కొత్త పద్ధతులు, కొత్త వ్యవస్థలు, కొత్త పదబంధాలు నేర్చుకుంటారు, ఆపై మీరు ఈ కొత్త భాష ననుసరించి ఆలోచించడం మాట్లాడటం మొదలు పెడతారు, బహుశా మీరు గొప్పగా భావిస్తారు, కానీ ప్రాథమి కంగా అది ఏమాత్రం అర్థం లేనిది.

      కలగాపులగమైన మనస్సు చాలా విధ్వంసకర విషయాలను సృష్టించింది. అన్నింటిలో దేవుడు అనే భావన అత్యంత విధ్వంసక రమైంది. నాదృష్టిలో దేవుడికి సంబందించిన ప్రశ్న చాలా అసంబద్ద మైంది. అభౌతికమైంది. దేవుడి వల్ల మనకే మాత్రం ప్రయోజనం లేదు.రెండు ప్రపంచ యుద్దాలకంటే దేవుడి పేరుతో జరిగిన హింసాకాండలో ఎక్కువ మంది చనిపోయా రు.పవిత్ర బుద్దభగవానుడి పేరు మీద జపానులో లక్షలాది మంది మరణించారు. ఇదే వరుసలో క్రిస్టియన్లు, ముస్లింలు ఉన్నారు. భారత దేశంలో కూడాఒక్క రోజులో ఐదు వేల మంది జైనులను ఊచకోత కోశారు. నీది కుడా శాంతియుత దేశం కాదు. నీ చిరిత్ర చదువుకో. మొదటి నుంచి హింసే కనబడుతుంది.

          మనిషి కేవలం భౌతిక జీవి. (భయోలాజికల్ బీయింగ్ ). స్వాభావికంగా అతనికి ఆద్యాత్మిక పార్శ్వం లేదు. అన్ని సద్గుణాలు, మార్గదర్సికాలు, నమ్మకాలు , భావాలు, ఆద్యాత్మిక విలువలు, కేవలం డాంబికాలు, అసహజమైనవి. అవేమి నీలో మార్పు తీసుకురాలేవు. నీవిప్పటికీ క్రూరుడవే. `నీవలె నీ పొరుగువాడిని ప్రేమించు` అనే తత్వం వల్ల నీవు జరిపే విచక్షణారహిత హత్యా కాండ ఆగదు. నీ పొరుగువాడిని చంపితే నీకూ అదే గతి పడుతుందనే భయంకరమైన నిజం వల్ల నీవు నరమేధాన్నిఆపుతావు.

           RELIGION

          whole structure of religious thought is built on the foundation of discipline. Discipline to me means a sort of masochism. We are all masochists. We torture ourselves because we think that suffering is a means to achieve our spiritual goals.

               As a matter of fact, the whole religious thinking is built on the foundation of suffering. Those who impo se that kind of discipline on us are sadists and we are all being masochists in accepti ng that. We torture ourselve s in the hope of achieving something.We are slaves to our ideas and beliefs. We are not ready to throw them out. If we succeed in throwing them out we replace them with another set of beliefs, another body of discipline.

         Very foundation of the human culture is to kill and to be killed. If one is interested in looking at history right from the beginning, the whole foundation of humanity is built on the idea that those who are not with us are against us.That's what is operating in human thinking. 

 To kill and to be killed in the name of God, represented by the church in the West and all the other religious thinking here in the East, was the order of the day. That's why there is fundamentalism.

    U.G.: The only difference between the East and the West is the difference in our religions. Christianity has not produced such weird characters as we have in this country. Here religion is an individual affair. Each one has set up his own shop and is selling his particular wares. That's why we have the variety here, which is lacking in the West. This variety is the most attractive part of our so-called heritage. Hinduism is not a religion. It is a combination and confusion of many things. The actual word "Hindu" comes from a lost non-Sanskrit word no longer in use. You wouldn't know anything about it. The invading Aryans who set up the Brahmanic social structure found the native Indians to have a dark complexion and called their religion the religion of the blacks—the "Hindus". The scholars and pundits may not like my interpretation, but it is correct and historical. 

     Its genesis was in the religious idea that man is at the centre of the universe. For example, the Jews and Christians belive that everything is created for the benefit of man . That is why man is no longer a part of nature. He has polluted, destroyed, and killed off enerything, all on account of his wanting to be at the centre of the universe, of all creation.

      You want to be a good man, a nice man, an innocent man, and all that stuff. You want to be something different, but always in the future. That is what all the teachers promise you, and they just promise, a next life or an afterlife. Till then he is in business, he is assured. If he says there is nothing you leave him. That is why I do not have to bother. You are going to leave in any case because what brings you here will certainly take you somewhere else. You are interested in getting something, some kind of a false hope or promise. Here you are not going to get it.

          Basically the motivation is the same: you are looking for a new teacher, a new Bible, a new order, a new church---that is all you can do. Basically it`s still the same thing: you have not moved one step from the Catholic Church . If religiousness is all you are interested in there is no need to look anywhere other than in Christianity. Thr profound statements of the great teachers are not any different in the different religions. All I am saying is that looking to alien lands and religions does not mean anything. You learn new techniques, new systems, new phrases, and then you beginto think and speak in terms of this new language, and probabuly you feel just great, but basically it does not mean anything at all.

             That messy thing called the mind has created many destructive thing, and by far the most destructive of them all is God. To the question of Godis irrelevant and immaterial. We have no use for God. More people have been killed in the name of God then in the two world wars put together. In Japa, millions of people died in the name of the sacred Buddha. Cristians and Muslims have done the same. Even in India, 5000 Jains were massacred in a single day. Yours is not a peaceful nation. Read your own history- it’s full of violence from the beginning to the?  

          Man is merely a biological being. There is no spiritual side to his nature. There is no such thing ... All the virtues , principles , beliefs, ideas, and spiritual values are mere affectati ons. They haven’t succcee ded in changing anything in you . You are still the brute that you have always been. When will you begin to see the truth that the philosophy of ‘ Love thy neighbour as thyself’ is not what stops you from killing indiscrimina tely but it is the terror of the fact that if you kill your neighbour you too will also be destroyed along with him that stops you from killing.

జీవితం అంటే ఏమిటి?

       ప్ర: మనలో చాలా మందికి జీవితం ఒక పవిత్రమైన విషయం. మన పిల్లలను పర్యావరణాన్ని పరిరక్షించడానికి, మరొక యుద్ధాన్ని నివారించడానికి మేము కష్టపడుతున్నాం....

     యు.జి. : మీరందరూ మానసిక వ్యాధిగ్రస్తులు. బాంబులతో, ఆకలితో, దారిద్ర్యంతో, టెర్రరిజంతో వేల లక్షల మందిని చంపేస్తూ మరో వైపు భావి జీవితం, బర్త్ కంట్రోల్, జీవన మాధుర్యం, జీవిత విలువల గురించి ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేస్తుంటారు. ఇది చాలా అసంబద్ధం. జీవితంపై మీ కలవరం అంతా కేవలం రాజకీయ సమస్య నుంచి బయిటపడటానికే.

       నీవు చెబుతావు. జీవితం ప్రవాహం. దానితోపాటే నేను కదులుతుంటాను అని. కాని నిజానికి ప్రవాహాన్ని చెదరగొడుతుంటావు. జీవితం కదలిక ఎప్పుడూ భిన్నంగా వుంటుంది. 

         జీవితం అద్భుతమైన క్రమం. ఆలోచన చట్రంలో దాన్ని ఎప్పటికీ అందుకోలేవు.

        జీవితం అనుకుంటున్న దానికి భౌతికంగా దాని అర్ధం దానికుంది. దాన్ని తోసేసి ఆధ్యాత్మిక అర్ధం కల్పించడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నావు. ఏదైనా అర్ధం ఎందుకుండాలి. జీవించడం కోసం జీవితం వుంది. నీవు ఆధ్యాత్మిక అర్ధం వెతకడంలోనే సమస్య వుంది.

అర్థవతం, ప్రశాంతం, సంపూర్ణం, ఆదర్శవంతంమైన జీవితం...ఇలా పేరుకుపోయిన భావనలు తొలగిపోవాలి. అసలు జీవితం కన్నా వీటి గురించి ఆలోచనకే నీ శక్తులన్నీ వ్యర్ధం అవుతుంటాయి.

        నీవు జీవితం మొదలు పెడితే ఏమి ఆలోచిస్తున్నావు అనేది విషయం కాదు. జీవితం దానంతట అదే సాగుతుంది. ఎలా జీవించాలి అనే ప్రశ్న జీవితానికి ఒక సమస్య అయింది. ఎలా జివించాలనేది జీవితానికి అర్ధం లేనిది. ఎలా అనే ప్రశ్న వచ్చిన మరుక్షణం సమాధానం కోసం ఎవరో ఒకరి మీద ఆధార పడతావు. దీంతో నీమీద స్వారీ చేయడానికి ఆవకాశం తీసుకుంటారు.

        జీవితానికి ఎందుకర్ధం ఉండాలి. ఎలా జీవించాలి అనేది జీవి నడకకు పూర్తిగా సంబంధం లేనిది. అది జివిస్తుంటే ఎలా, ఎప్పుడు అని ప్రశ్నించదు. ఎలా అనేది నీవు నిర్దేశిస్తున్నావు. 

           జీవితం ఏమిటి? ఎవరికీ తెలియదు. మనం చెప్పేదంతా ఊహాజనితం. జీవితం నుంచి, అనుభవం నుంచి అర్ధం చేసుకున్నది జ్ఞానం సహాయంతో చెబుతావు. మన చుట్టూ ఉన్న ప్రజలతో, ప్రపంచంతో మనకున్న సంబంధమే జీవితంఅనుకుంటాం. మనకు తెలిసింది అదే. వాస్తవానికి అది సంబంధం కాదు. 

          నీ జీవితం , దాని ఉనికి అద్భుతమైన జీవన నాణ్యతను కలిగి ఉంది. ప్రేమ, అనంతమైన ఆనందం, శాంతి‌‌...ఈ భావనలన్నీ నీ సహజమైన ఉనికిని అడ్డుకునేవే‌.

         మీకు తెలిసినది మీ జీవితంలో పనిచేయదు. మీ నడకకు దీనికి ఎలాంటి సంబంధం ఉండదు . ఇది నిజంగా సమస్య కు మూలం.

       జీవితం ఏమిటనేది నీవు ఎప్పటికీ తెలుసుకోలేవు. జీవితం గురించి ఎవరూ ఏమీ చెప్పలేరు. నీవు నిర్వచనాలు ఇస్తావు. అవి అర్ధం లేనివి. జీవితాన్ని సిద్దాంతీకరిస్తావు. అది నీకేమాత్రం విలువైన విషయం కాదు . దేన్నీ అర్ధం చేసుకోడానికి అది నీకు సహాయం చేయదు. ప్రశ్న, ప్రశ్నించేవారు రెండు వేర్వేరు విషయాలు కాదు. ఆ ప్రశ్న తానంతట తాను దగ్దమైతే అక్కడ శక్తి ఉంటుంది. ఆ శక్తి గురించి ఏమీ చెప్పలేరు --- ఇది ఆల్ రెడీ దానంతట అది వ్యక్తమవుతూ ఉంటుంది.‌ అపరిమితమైన రీతిలో వ్యక్తపరుస్తుంది. దానికి పరిమి తులు లేవు, సరిహద్దులు లేవు. ఇది నీది, నాది కాదు. అది అందరికీ సంబంధించినది. దానిలో నీవు ఒక భాగం. నీవు దాని వ్యక్తీకరణవు. కేవలం పూవు ఒక జీవిత వ్యక్తీకరణలా నీవు మరో జీవితపు వ్యక్తీకరణవు.

What is life?

Q: But for many of us life is a sacred thing. We struggle to protect our children the environment, to avert another war.. 

   

       U.G: You are all neurotic people. You talk against birth control, drone on and on about the preciousness of life, then bomb and massacre. It is too absurd. 

You are concerned with an unborn life while you are killing thousands and thousands of people by bombing, starvation, poverty and terrorism. Your concern about life is only to make a political issue out of it.

             You say life is a movement and you are moving with life, but actually you are manipulating the movement. The movement of life is altogether a differ ent thing.

       Why should there be any meaning? You see, the meaning of the question on how to live is totally unrelated to the functioning of this living organism. It is living all the time. It doesn't have to ask the question how to live, so how to live is superimposed on this.

             Life, your existence, has a tremendous living quality about it. All your notions about love, infinite bliss and peace only block this natural energy of existence.

         What you know does not operate in your life. It has no relevance to the way you are functioning. That is really the crux of the problem.

        You will never know what life is. No body can say anything about life. You can give definations, but those definitions have no meaning . You can theorize about life, but that is a thing which is not of any value to you---- it canot help you to understand anything. The question and the questioner are not two different things. When the question burns itself out, what is there is is energy. You can't say anything about that energy---it is already manifesting it self, expressing it self in a boundless way, it has no limitations, no boundaries. It is not yours, not mine; it belongs to everybody. You are put of that. You are an expression of that. Just as the flower is an expression of life, you are another expression of life.

శాకాహారం.... ఏమిటి భిన్నత్వం. యు.జి.

 "పవిత్రం,దైవికం, సంపూర్ణం అని నీవు భావించేదంతా అపరిశుధ్యమే. నీ చైతన్యంలోనే అపరిశుధ్యం ఉంది. శాఖాహారం గురించి మాట్లాడతావు. మరోవైపు లక్షలాది మందిని చంపేస్తావు. ఇది అత్యంత అనైతికం, అమానుషమైన చర్య. నాగరికమైన సంస్కృతికి చెందిన మనుషులు ఇలా ఎప్పుడూ చేయరు. నీవు చూడగలుగుతున్నావా? రెండు అసంబద్ధ వైఖరులను.      

           శాకాహారం.. దేనికోసం. ఏదో ఆధ్యాత్మిక లక్ష్యాల కోసం? జీవులు ఒకదానిపై ఒకటి పరస్పరంగా ఆధారపడి జీవిస్తాయి. నీకు ఇష్టం ఉన్నా లేకున్నా ఇది వాస్తవం. మాంసాహారం తీసుకునే దేహంకన్నా నీ దేహం పరిశుద్దంగా,స్వచ్ఛంగా ఉండటానికి అవకాశం లేదు. నీవు భారత దేశంలో ఎక్కడికైనా వెళ్ళు. శాకాహారులను చూడు. వాళ్ళేమీ దయగా, ప్రశాంతంగా ఉండరు. నీవు ఆశ్చర్య పోతావు. మాంసాహారుల కన్నా శాకాహారులు కలహకారులుగా ,దూకుడుగా ఉంటారు.భారత దేశ చరిత్ర చదువుకో. మొత్తం రక్తం చరిత్రే. నరమేధం, హత్యలే కనిపిస్తాయి. మొత్తం మతం పేరున జరిగినవే. అందువల్ల ఆధ్యాత్మికతతో చేసేదేమీ లేదు. మాంసాహారానికి, శాకాహారానికి ఏమిటి భిన్నత్వం. జీవులు పరస్పరం ఆధారపడి జీవిస్తుంటాయి.నీ దేహం మీద ఎన్ని సూక్ష్మజీవులు దోగాడుతున్నాయి. అవన్నీ నీ మీదే జీవిస్తున్నాయి‌.

           నీవు ఏమి విశ్వసిస్తావో దాన్నే విశ్వసించు. అలాగే కొందరికి నమ్మకాలు ఉంటాయి. ఇది ప్రజల విశ్వాసాలకు సంబంధించింది. ఒక నమ్మకం స్థానంలో మరో నమ్మకం చేరుతుంది. భావాలను ఆరగించు. నీ పొట్టలోకి భావాలనే పంపించు.మంచి భావాలను తీసుకో ...గుడ్ లక్. 

   ఎలా జీవించాలి? ఏమి తినాలి అని అడిగిన మరుక్షణం నీవు సమస్యను సృష్టిస్తున్నాను. ఇది మొత్తం సంస్కృతి. నీ అభిరుచులన్నీ రుచులను కల్పిస్తుంటాయి.   నీవు ఏమి తింటావనేది దేహానికి తెలియదు. అవసరానికి మించి తీసుకున్నపుడే ఈ దేహానికి సమస్య వస్తుంది. నీవు సంతోషం కోసం తింటావు. తినడం అనేదానిలో కూడా ఆనందాన్ని వెతుక్కునే స్థితికి వచ్చావు."

       Is there anything to vegetarianism

If I talk of vegetarianism and kill millions of people,that is the most immoral, unpardonable act that a civilized culture of human beings can ever do. Do you see the absurdity of the two? 

       Vegetarianism for what? For some spiritual goals? One form of life lies off another. That's a fact, whether you like it or not. Your body is not going to be any more pure than the meat-eating body. you go to India, those that have been vegetarian, they are not kind, they are not peaceful. You will be surprised. Vegetarians can be more aggressive than the meat eaters. Read the history of India- it is full of bloodshed, massacres, and assassinations-all in the name of religion. So it has nothing to do with spirtuality. What you put in there (stumach) is not really problem. One form of life lives on another form of life. How money millions of bacteria are crawling all your body.

You can believe whatever you want to believe. Some one else believes something else. It is belief that to matters to people. You replace one belief with another. You eat ideas. You put ideas in your stumach. You can eat good ideas. Good luck to you. 

The moment you ask, 'How to live' and 'What to eat? ' you have created a problem ... Everything is cultural. All your tastes are cultivated tastes. The body does not know what you are eating. The problem is you eat more than what the body needs. You eat for pleasure. Eating has become a pleasure-seeking moment of life.

     యూజీ అత్యంత సంపూర్ణమైన మనిషి.నా జీవితంలో ఇటువంటి వ్యక్తిని చూడలేదు. అక్కడ అసాధారణంగా బయటకు ఏమీ కనిపించడు. అతనితో కొంత సమయం గడిపితే ఆ సంపూర్ణ నడకను నీవు చూస్తావు. నేను యూజీతో కలిసి జీవించాను, ప్రయాణించాను. యూజీతో ఉన్న నిర్దిష్టమైన సమయం తరువాత నేను గ్రహించింది...యూజీ ప్రతి మనిషిని ఒక మనిషిగా చూస్తాడు. ఎవరినైనా తనతో సమానంగా చూస్తాడు. గౌరవిస్తాడు. పరిగణిస్తాడు. అర్ధం చేసుకుంటాడు. ప్రేమిస్తాడు. మరో విషయం ... చిన్న. పెద్ద, పేద, ధనిక ఎవరినైనా తనతో సమానంగా చూస్తాడు. మనందరం బందుత్వాలు, మన పైన, కింద అంటూ చూస్తాం. మనతో సమానంగా చూడం. అతని ప్రవర్తన అతని సహజ స్వభావం నుంచి వచ్చిందే. ఇలా ఉండడం  అతను ప్రయత్నించేది కాదు. లేదా ప్రత్యేకమైన వ్యక్తిగా అతను, అతని ప్రవర్తన ఉండదు. 

                    మరో ముఖ్యమైన సుగుణం... ఎప్పుడూ ఎవరినీ తనస్వప్రయోజనాల కోసం ఉపయోగించుకోడు. మాములుగా తాను తీసుకోవడంకంటే ఇచ్చేదే ఎక్కువగా ఉంటుంది. ఏమీ ఆశించకుండా అతను తిరిగి ఇస్తాడు. చాలా సందర్బాల్లో తీసుకునే వ్యక్తి గ్రహించలేనంతగా నిశ్శబ్దంగా, నిస్వార్ధంగా ఇస్తుంటాడు. ఎంత కఠోర సత్యమైనా అది ఎదుటి వారికి ప్రయోజనం అనిపిస్తే నిర్మొహమాటంగా చెబుతారు. నిజాన్ని చెప్పడం వల్ల ఇంకొకరికి ఉపకారమని భావిస్తే వారితో స్నేహం పోతుందన్నా లెక్కచేయరు. 

           తన స్వప్రయోజనా లకోసం ఎవరినీ అవకాశంగా తీసుకోవడం, మోసం చేయడం, తప్పుదారి పట్టించడం, ఉపయోగించు కోవడం, వ్యక్తిని, లేదా పరిస్థితులను అవకాశంగా తీసుకోవడం నేనెప్పుడు చూడలేదు. నిస్సహాయ స్థితిలో కుడా యూజీ అలా ప్రవర్తించలేదు. ఇలా ఎవరి గురించి అయినా చెప్పడానికి ప్రపంచంలో ఎవరూ తారసపడలేదు.

U.G...Most perfect human being: Parveen Babi

        U.G. is the most perfect human being I have ever met in my life. There is noting apparently extraordinarily about him. It is when you spend some time with him that you see the perfection operating. I have lived and travelled with U. G. And after being with him for a substantial period of time I have realised that U.G. treats human beings as human beings should be treated-with respect, consideration, understanding and compassion. I also realise that he treats everybody as his equal—whether the person is younger, poorer, richer or older. We all treat people as relations either above us or below us. We do not treat them as our equals. His behavior comes naturally to come. He does not make a deliberate effort to act this way, nor is his behaviour accompanied by the feeling that he is a special person, that his behaviour is special and that is doing people a favour

      Another most special quality about U. G. is that he never uses people for his personal gain. U.G. Personally gives back much more then he receives. And his giving is the purest kind of giving. He gives without expecting anything back in return. He gives silently and so selflessly that oftentimes, even the receiver does not realise that he has received. If he feels it is necessary to state the bitter truth for a person’s good, he states it. He can state the bitter truth because he does not mind losing the person’s friendship, if it helps the person. 

          I have never seen U.G. take advantage of anybody, cheat anybody, mislead anybody, use anybody, or take advantage of a person or situation for his personal gain even in the most insignificant way. Apart from U.G., I am afraid I cannot say this of anybody else I have come across in the world.

                           

సహజస్థితి

 సహజ స్థితి: యు.జి. కృష్ణమూర్తి

         అక్కడ నీలో ఎప్పు డూ అద్భుతమైన ప్రశాంతత ఉంది. అదే నీ సహజ స్థితి. దాన్నినీవు ఎప్పటికీ అర్ధం చేసుకోలేవు. నీవు ప్రశాంతమైన 

మానసిక స్థితిని సృష్టించు కోవడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తుంటావు. నిజానికి అదే నీలో గందర గోళానికి దారితీస్తుంది. నీవు కేవలం శాంతి గురించే మాట్లాడుతావు. ప్రశాంతమైన మనస్సును సృష్టించుకుంటావు. అంతా ప్రశాంతంగా ఉన్నట్లు నీకు నీవు చెప్పుకుంటావు. కానీ అదంతా హింస. శాంతిని సాధన చేయడం వల్ల, నిశ్శబ్దం కోసం నీవు చేసే ప్రయత్నం ఏ మాత్రం ఉపయోగం లేనిది . నిజమైన నిశ్సబ్దం విస్ఫోటనం. ఆథ్యాత్మిక వాదులు చెబుతున్న సమాధి స్థితి ( డెడ్ స్టేట్ ఆఫ్ మైండ్ )కాదు .అది మెరుపు స్థితి. అదినీటి బుగ్గ. ఆదిశక్తి . అదే జీవితం. అదే దాని ప్రయాణం. అదే సహజ స్థితి. 

>అఫెక్షన్ అంటే ప్రతిదానికి కదిలిపోవడం. అది ఒక దాని వైపు ఉద్యేగంగా వెళ్ళడం కాదు.సహజ స్థితి అనేది గొప్ప సునిశితమైన స్థితి. ఇంద్రియాలకు సంబంధించిన భౌతిక సునిసితత్వం ఇది. ఇది నాపట్ల ఇతరుల పట్ల ఉద్వేగ పరంగా కరుణ, లేదా దయగా ఉండడమనే ప్రక్రియ కాదు. ఇక్కడ విభజన ఉండదు. 

నీ సహజ స్థితికి ఆధ్యాత్మిక స్థితులైన ఆనందం, బ్రహ్మానందం, ఆనందప్రవాహం ...వంటి వాటితో ఏ మాత్రం సంబంధం లేదు. అవన్నీ అనుభవం పరిధిలోకి వస్తాయి. నాకు తెలిసి ఉన్నదంతా స్వచ్చమైన భౌతికక్రమం . ఇందులో మార్మికత, ఆధ్యాత్మికత ఏమీ లేదు.

  NATURAL STATE: U.G.KRISHNAMURTHI

                You can never understand the tremendous peace that you always there within you, that is your natural state. Your trying to create a peaceful state of mind is in fact creating disturbance within you. You can only talk of peace, create a peaceful state of mind is in fact creating disturbance within you. You can talk of peace, create a state of mind and say to yourself that you are very peaceful —but that is not peace; that is violence. So there is no use practising peace, there is no reason to practise silence. Real silence is explosive; it is not the dead state of mind that spiritual seekers think. ‘ Oh. I am at peace with myself! There is silence, a tremendous silence ! I experience silence! — that doesn’t mean anything at all. This is volcanic in its nature: it’s bubbling all the time— the energy, the life — that is its quality. 

                Affection means that your effected by everything, not that some emotion flows from you towards something. The natural state of great sensitivity of the senses, not some kind of emotional compassion or tenderness for others. There is compassion only in the sense that there are no others for me and so there is no separation. 

         Your natural state has no relationship whatsoever with the religious states of bliss and ecstasy. They lie within the field of experience. To me what does exist is a purely physical process. There is nothing mystical or spiritual about it.

అప్పుడు యు.జి‌ని కలుస్తావు

అప్పుడు నీవు యూజీని కలుస్తావు. విజయ్ ఆనంద్, ఫిలిం డైరెక్టర్

           యూజీ టిచర్ కాదు. నీ సొంత టిచర్ నీకు శత్రువు అయినపుడు ఇతడు నీకు స్నేహితుడు అవుతాడు.

                      మన జీవితాలు తీవ్రమైన సమస్యల్లోకి వెళ్ళినపుడు ...మేధోపరమైన సమస్యలు కాదు, భావోద్వేగమైనవి ఎదురైనపుడు ఆ సమస్యలను నీవు ఎదుర్కోలేని క్షణాలు ఎదురవుతాయి. నీకు ఏ సహాయం అందదు. నీకు నీవుగా ఏమీ చేయలేవు. అప్పుడు ఖురాన్, బైబిల్, గీత వంటి ఆధ్యాత్మిక  పుస్తకాల వైపు చూస్తావు. అకస్మాత్తుగా అవి కొంత స్వాంతన ఇస్తాయి.  కానీ అవి తాత్కాలికం. నీవు మళ్లీ అవే పుస్తకాలు చదువుతావు. అవి నిన్ను కొంత సేపు బయట పడేస్తాయి. ఇలా జరుగుతుంటుంది. ఈ క్రమలో చివరకు ఈ పదాలు కూడా మృత ప్రాయంగా కనిపిస్తాయి. ఈ పుస్తకాలు కూడా ఎందుకు పనిచేయడం లేదనే ప్రశ్న వస్తుంది. ఎప్పుడైతే ఈ పుస్తకాలు ఫెయిల్ అయ్యయో అప్పుడు టిచర్ కోసం చూడడం మొదలవుతుంది. వృత్తిలో ఇబ్బంది ఎదురైతే ఒక నిపుణుడి దగ్గరకు వెళతాం. ఆరోగ్య సమస్య అయితే డాక్టర్ దగ్గరకు వెళతాం. ఇటువంటి సమస్య ఎదురైనపుడు రజనీష్, డీ ఫ్రీజాన్, జె.కృష్ణ మూర్తి వంటి వారి దగ్గరకు వెళతాం. ప్రారంభంలో వారి సహాయాన్ని గుర్తిస్తావు. వారు నీకు జీవన మార్గాన్ని ఇస్తారు. కొంత ధ్యానం, కొంత తాత్వికత..., ఇవన్నీ తాత్కాలికంగా నీ ఖాళీలను పురిస్తాయి.ఒక సమాధానం దొరికిందని భావిస్తావు. ఈ ధ్యానం చేసినంత కాల చింతన తొలగిపోతుంది. ఎప్పుడైతే ఇది ఆగిపోతుందో నీకు నివే మిగలిపోతావు. మళ్లీ సమస్య దగ్గరకే వస్తావు.  అందువల్ల నిజంగా నీకు సమాధానం కనబడదు. నీకు నీవు ఎంత కష్ట పడినా ఇంకా చేయాలని  ఇక్కడ టీచర్  చెబుతాడు. దీంతో రెండింతలు నీవు కష్ట పడటానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తావు. ఇదంతా పడగడుపులా అవుతుంది. నీకు నీవు నిజాయతీగా ఉన్నా ఎక్కడా ఏమీ పొందలేమని గ్రహిస్తావు. దీంతో నీవు ఆగిపోతావు. అప్పుడు నీవు యూజీని కలుస్తావు.

               There are moments in our lives when we go through a crisis—not an intellectual crisis but an emotional crisis, when you cannot cope with the suffering. Since no help is coming and you cannot help yourself, that is when you turn to the religious books like Koran, the Gita, or the Bible. You suddenly feel that you get solace. But that solace does not last. You read the books again. They give you exhilaration for an hour or so. Again it wears out. This goes on. And then you feel that probably these are dead words. That’s why the books are not working. So when these books fail, that is the time when you start looking for a teacher. If there is a profession, you go to an expert. If there is a problem with your health, you go to the doctor. When you have a crisis of this kind, you are likely to go to people like Rajneesh, Da Free John, and J. Krishnamurthi. You do find initially that they help. These people give you a way of life. Certain meditation, certain philosophy which fills you up for a short while. You feel as if you have got an answer. As long as you do to meditation, it seems that the crisis has passed away. But the moment you stop and you are with yourself, you are back to the crisis. So you really have found no solution. Here the teacher tells you that you have not done enough of whatever you are supposed to do. So you go back and put in double the effort. This is a kind of forgetfulness like drinking. If you are not getting anywhere. You are stuck. This is when you should meet U. G..

              

దేవుడు

దేవుడు ..అసంబద్ధం, అభౌతికం..యు.జి

  `అవతల` ఏ మైనా ఉందా?. ఎందుకంటే నీకు రోజువారి విషయాలు, నీ చుట్టూ ఏమి జరుగుతుంది అనే దాని మీద ఆసక్తి ఉండదు.`అవతల` అని పిలుస్తున్నదాని మీద, లేదా దేవుడు, సత్యం, వాస్తవం, బ్రహ్మం, ఆత్మజ్ఞానం, లేదా మరోటో కనుగొన్నావు. దాని  కోసం నీ అన్వేషణ  అంతా. అక్కడ ఏ  `అవతల` ఉండకపోవచ్చు. `అవతల` గురించి నీకు విషయం తెలియదు. దాన్ని గురించి నీకేమి చెప్పారో అదే నీకు తెలిసింది. అందువల్ల ఆ జ్ఞానాన్నే ఆవిష్కరిస్తుంటావు.` అవతల` గురించి నీకున్న జ్ఞానమే నీవు పిలుస్తున్న `అవతల`ను  సృష్టించింది. `అవతల గురించి నీకున్న  జ్ఞానమే నీ  అనుభవం  అవుతుంది . ఆ అనుభవం నీ  జ్ఞానాన్ని  పదునేక్కిస్తుంటుంది. నీకేమి తెలిసినా అది  అవతలకు వెళ్ళదు. ఏ అనుభవమైనా అవతలంటు  ఏమీ ఉండదు.  ఏదయినా  అవతల అంటూ ఉంటే `నీవు` కదలిక అదృశ్య మైనప్పుడే  ఉంటుంది. ఆ కదలిక  లేకపోవడమే బహుశా `అవతల ` అని  అనుకొవచ్చు. కాని `అవతల` అనేది ఎప్పటికీ అనుభవంలోకి  రాదు. అనుభవంలోకి రానిదాని కోసం అనుభవంలోకి తెచ్చుకునేందుకు ఎందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తావు .

              దేవుడి నుంచి మనిషి రక్షింపబడాలి. అది చాలా అవసరం. నేననేది నీవు అంటున్న దేవుడు  అనే అర్ధంలో కాదు. నా దృ ష్టిలో దేవుడు దేవుడుగానే లేదు. దేవుడు అనే భావన చుట్టూ కర్మ, పునర్జన్మ, మరణం తర్వాత... ఇలా  మొత్తం విషయమంతా, గొప్ప భారతీయ వారసత్వమని నీవు చెప్పేదంతా...మొత్తం ప్రహసనాన్ని నీవు చూడాలి. మనిషి భారతీయ వారసత్వం నుంచి బయట పడాలి. ప్రజలే కాదు మొత్తం దేశం కూడా ఈ వారసత్వం నుంచి విముక్తి పొందాలి.    

     కలగాపులగమైన మనస్సు చాలా విధ్వంసకర విషయాలను సృష్టించింది. అన్నింటిలో దేవుడు అనే భావన అత్యంత విధ్వంసకరమైంది. నాదృష్టిలో దేవుడికి  సంబందించిన ప్రశ్న చాలా అసంబద్ద మైంది. అభౌతికమైంది. దేవుడి వల్ల మనకే మాత్రం ప్రయోజనం లేదు.రెండు ప్రపంచ  యుద్దాలకంటే దేవుడి పేరుతో జరిగిన  హింసాకాండలో ఎక్కువ మంది చనిపోయారు.పవిత్ర  బుద్దభగవానుడి పేరు మీద జపానులో లక్షలాది మంది మరణించారు. ఇదే వరుసలో క్రిస్టియన్లు, ముస్లింలు ఉన్నారు. భారత దేశంలో కూడాఒక్క రోజులో ఐదు వేల మంది జైనులను ఊచకోత కోశారు. నీది కుడా శాంతియుత దేశం కాదు. నీ చిరిత్ర  చదువుకో. మొదటి నుంచి హింసే కనబడుతుంది.

           మనిషి కేవలం భౌతిక జీవి. (భయోలాజికల్ బీయింగ్ ). స్వాభావికంగా  అతనికి ఆద్యాత్మిక పార్శ్వం లేదు. అన్ని సద్గుణాలు, మార్గదర్సికాలు, నమ్మకాలు , భావాలు, ఆద్యాత్మిక విలువలు, కేవలం డాంబికాలు, అసహజమైనవి. అవేమి నీలో మార్పు తీసుకురాలేవు. నీవిప్పటికీ  క్రూరుడవే. `నీవలె నీ పొరుగువాడిని ప్రేమించు`  అనే తత్వం  వల్ల నీవు జరిపే విచక్షణారహిత  హత్యా కాండ ఆగదు. నీ పొరుగువాడిని చంపితే నీకూ అదే గతి పడుతుందనే భయంకరమైన  నిజం వల్ల నీవు నరమేధాన్నిఆపుతావు

    GOD IS IRRELEVANT:                   U.G.KRISHNAMURTHI

   Is there a beyond? Because you are not interested in the everyday things and the happenings around you. You have invented a  thing called the ‘beyond’, or ‘Timelessness’, or ‘God’, ‘Truth’, ‘ Reality’, ‘Brahman’, ‘enlightenment’, or whatever, and you search for that. There may not be any beyond. You don’t know a thing about that beyond. Whatever you know is what you have been told, the knowledge you have about that. So you are projecting that knowledge. What you call ‘ beyond’ is created by knowledge you have about  that beyond; and whatever knowledge you have about a beyond is exactly what you will experience. The knowledge creates experience, and the experience then strengthens the knowledge. What you know can never be the beyond. Whatever you experience is not the beyond. If there is any beyond this moment of ‘you’ is absent. The absence of this movement probably is the beyond, but the beyond can never be experienced by you; it is when the ‘you’ is not there. Why are you trying to experience a thing that cannot be experienced.?

        Man has to be saved from God - that is very essential. I don’t mean God in the sense in which you use the word God; I mean all that ‘God’ stands for, not only God, but all that is associated with that concept of God - even karma, reincarnation, rebirth, life after death, the whole thing, the whole business of what you call the ‘ great heritage of India’ - all that,  you see. Man has to be saved from the heritage of India. Not only the people; the country has to be saved from that heritage. Otherwise there is no hope for the individual and no hope for the country. 

 That messy thing called the mind has created many destructive thing, and by far the most destructive of them all is God. To the question of Godis irrelevant and immaterial. We have no use for God. More people have been killed in the name of God then in the two world wars put together. In Japa, millions of people died in the name of the sacred Buddha. Cristians and Muslims have done the same. Even in India, 5000 Jains were massacred in a single day. Yours is not a peaceful nation. Read your own history- it’s full of violence from the beginning to the?  Man is merely a biological being. There is no spiritual side to his nature. There is no such thing ... All the virtues , principles , beliefs, ideas, and spiritual values are mere affectations. They haven’t succceeded in changing anything in you . You are still the brute that you have always been. When will you begin to see the truth that the philosophy of ‘ Love  thy neighbour as thyself’  is not what stops you from killing indiscriminately but it is the terror of the fact that if you kill your neighbour you too will also be destroyed along with him that stops you from killing.
